Northeastern Hockey

It's back!!! I've missed going to hockey games so much since the season ended in March.

The Huskies played their first home game on Saturday, beating Boston College, who was ranked #1 in the country, by a score of 4-3. It was honestly the best hockey game I've been to since I came to Northeastern. It was also the first time Matthews Arena has sold out since 2005, which totally added to the atmosphere (5,407 people). It was just a great game and a lot of fun, and hopefully it will attract bigger crowds to come to future games.

Northeastern is now 3-0-1 overall, (2-0-0 in Hockey East,) and in the new poll that came out Monday is ranked #14 in the country! Goalie Brad Thiessen was named Hockey East Player of the Week, and the Huskies were named team of the week by "College Hockey News": Click Here To Read The Article

We play Friday and Saturday nights away against Maine. Next home game is Saturday, November 1, and the DogHouse is having a Halloween costume party. Should be a lot of fun (again).
